WPP Group has augmented its brand experience offer through the purchase of The Marketing & Communications Agency, an international internal communications specialist.

MCA, which boasts 120 staff and claims annual billings of £8.8m, has been merged with Banner McBride, which has a staff of 40. No redundancies are anticipated, says Enterprise IG chief executive officer Dave Allen.

Banner McBride will be integrated into MCA. MCA group managing director Kathy Whitwell will become chief executive officer of the new, as-yet-unnamed, unit. Banner McBride managing director Mike Pounsford continues in that role.
