2 International colour and dye brand Dylon has been transformed for the first time in 60 years by Coley Porter Bell. The packaging for the 24-strong range, previously white, now sports a black base, with visuals and descriptive words to enhance the colour of the dye. The logo has also been updated, with a more contemporary type and colour wheel icon that indicates the colour of the dye. The new-look brand launches in August and will be rolled out to 70 markets across the globe.

4 Leeds furniture designer/ manufacturer Objects has launched the Egg sofa, created by Shanghai designer Tuo Mu Guo. It will be available at www.objectsonline.co.uk from August on.

5 Richard Long: Selected Statements & Interviews gathers previously unavailable interviews and statements from the photographer and artist. It is published by Haunch of Venison and edited by Ben Tufnell.



6 Retail consultancy JHP is working with India’s Hypercity on two store concepts based on convenience and deli formats. GourmetCity (pictured) and ExpressCity are expected to launch at the end of this year.



7 Mathmos will launch 9 Volts, a portable lightweight lamp designed by Richard Lawson, at the end of this month. It uses the terminal points of traditional or rechargeable batteries as a source of power.
