I only queued for three or four minutes because I arrived when it opened at 7pm and I was offered a cold beer within seconds. They were being dispatched at a furious rate, which probably explains why there were none left for you by 8pm.
But let’s face it, D&AD isn’t made of money, so inevitably the booze ran out. Hell, there are plenty of events in London where you can find a free drink.
