Mark Levell, who left Midlands group Zappia & Zappia after an unsuccessful merger with his group Levell Associates earlier this year (DW 30 January), has formally launched a new group, named Levell’s.

The five-strong Birmingham graphics consultancy has taken all the original Levell Associates clients, including Jaguar and US electronics group Harman International, with it, says Levell.

The new consultancy has been awarded a corporate literature project for construction group How Engineering.

Both Levell and directors of Zappia & Zappia blamed a lack of synergy for the end of the short-lived merger. “They were a much bigger company. We felt like a firm within a firm,” says Levell.
