Bursary set up in memorial

Torres Group interiors director Simon Johnson, who died suddenly while on holiday in Turkey last month, is to be commemorated via a bursary at Leeds University, where he trained.

One of Torres Design Associates’ founding members, 34-year-old Johnson had also worked at McColl and Crabtree Hall.

Bursary Fund will be created and awarded annually to the interiors student who best tackles a project set by Torres. An annual work placement is also planned.
