House for an Art Lover is a building which has been in the pipeline for a while.

Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed it in 1901, and entered it in a competition run by a German design magazine. But he didn’t win as his drawings arrived late.

But 70 years on Mackintosh fans Graham Roxburgh and Professor Andy MacMillan have actually created the building from these drawings.

“We worked backwards from the evidence,” says MacMillan.

House For An Art Lover will open at Bellahouston Park, 10 Dumbreck Road, Glasgow on 26 October.
