A couple of things you could do today, the first is visit the exhibition Blumenfeld: A Fetish for Beauty, at the Barbican. This celebrates the work of artist and photographer Erwin Blumenfeld, who specialised in fashion photography in the Forties and Fifties and worked on magazines including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. The show covers a range of photography from nudes to architecture and still-lifes. To coincide with the exhibition is the book of the same name,
