Xmas antics can cause more than red noses

We’ve all seen it happen, haven’t we? Matey from accounts can’t handle his booze at the best of times, has too much drink at the office Christmas party and chins the chap from finance. Result: reconstructive surgery for the chap from finance and matey from accounts is sacked.

But employers watch out. Under law you are liable for your employees’ behaviour, even at ‘off-duty’ parties, warns law firm Laytons.

It suggests employers ensure good conduct by notifying employees of the consequences of bad behaviour. It even suggests employers warn staff off the drink. Who needs booze?

Now, could you all form an orderly queue at the toilet cubicles please.
