Swindon-based Factory Furniture has designed an outdoor seat, Skop, which launches in late February. Manufactured in Britain from FSC-certified cumaru timber slats and a marine-grade stainless steel frame, the seat is designed for heavy outdoor use in public or private spaces. Skop is available with a range of backs – from none at all to as many as four on one bench in any pattern ‘for those tired of symmetry’, according to Factory Furniture managing director Dean Harvey, who designed the seat together with the group’s co-founder Jason Harvey.
