Lambie-Nairn has turned to Aardman to create the character that completes its channel identity for BBC3, which went on air on Sunday. Design Week exclusively revealed the BBC3 logo last year, but these animations by Aardman’s Stefan Marjoram bring the youth strand’s values to life, says Lambie-Nairn executive creative director Gary Holt. Exhibiting ‘traits from tough and likeable to impulsive, sweet and mischievous’, the ‘blob’ is intended to ‘act as the intermediary between the audience and the BBC’, says Holt.

Independent family brewer Badger has undergone a brand redesign, shifting the focus on to their local heritage, with the help of BrandOpus design agency. Founded in 1777, the brewery owned by
