NB Studio has designed the exhibition, wayfinding signage and marketing collateral for forthcoming contemporary art exhibition Days Like These, which opens at the end of February at London’s Tate Britain.
The consultancy is also creating exhibition graphics, website, artists’ biographies, catalogue, posters (above), leaflets, invitations, a map and dispenser and magazine inserts.
It is the first time Tate Britain has worked with one designer on both the marketing and graphics for a single exhibition, says Tate design manager Jane Scherbaum.
The triennial show features the work of 23 established and emerging British artists. Instead of being shown in one distinct gallery, the pieces will be dotted throughout the Tate on London’s Millbank.
Colour plays a large part in much of the artists’ work and NB Studio’s designs reflect this, says Scherbaum.
NB Studio was appointed on the strength of its work for the Warhol exhibition at Tate Modern last year.
The work in Days Like These includes painting, film, video, photography and sound works.
