There is still no word on the replacement of either Design Council chairman John Sorrell or Design Council design and communications director Sean Blair. Sorrell, due to step down at the end of last year, accepted an invitation to stay in office until the end of March, while Blair left late last year to launch a virtual consultancy. A Design Council spokesman says: ‘There are a number of names in the frame’ for the chairmanship, but nobody certain at this stage.
