Meeting the standard

Designers may have been under-represented, when compared to architects, in the New Year Honours list, but those with hurt feelings can take succour in the healthy performance of their peers in the Evening Standard’s list of London’s movers and shakers.

Royal College of Art professor Ron Arad, restaurant designer David Collins, Habitat guru-in-residence Tom Dixon, i-D founder Terry Jones, furniture and product designer Michael Marriott, plus James Dyson and Terence Conran, all appear on the list chosen by the London newspaper.

So it seems that somebody appreciates them at least.
