Household bags furniture brief

Household has been appointed to design in-store communications and marketing collateral for furniture retailer New Heights, after seeing off Four IV and Caulder Moore in a three-way pitch.

It is the first time New Heights has worked with a design consultancy on in-store design since its inception five years ago and comes as the company moves to grow its retail estate significantly to 20 from an existing 11 stores.

Household has been briefed to develop the retailer’s brand messages and communicate the ‘provenance, quality and highly tailorable nature’ of the range, says New Heights founder Toby Ash.

According to Household innovations director Michelle Du-Prât, the group aims to inject more passion into messages and to communicate ‘the great stories the brand has to tell’ more clearly.

The first phase of work launches at the end of the month in the retailer’s most recently opened store in Glasgow.
