Design Bridge has created the range’s overall branding, together with individual identities for each of the five sub-brands.

The full selection is due to hit the shelves next month.

Lichine, who took over the family estate following his father’s death in 1989, has developed five ranges, which vary from a £5 table wine to a premium-priced single estate variety.

They include the Italian/ Spanish blend Diabolo; Nikita Lichine, which has packaging based on paintings by Lichine’s daughter; Le Coq Rouge and La Poule Blanche – two country wines; and the Lichine’s range of single varieties which feature a “Puckish” character on the label, based on Lichine himself.

Design Bridge creative director, graphics Graham Shearsby says: “The identity draws on Lichine’s eclectic roots – Russian patronage, a close relationship with all things French and his father’s influence within the US wine market – to create a wonderful tripartite of Russian bear, American eagle and French cockerel, plus the strapline ‘Vins Sans Frontières’.”
