Tomorrow’s World is infectious viewing

A number of children at the recent Tomorrow’s World Exhibition at Earl’s Court took the 2500m2 virtual city on the Cycosmos.com stand rather too literally when they tried downloading viruses onto its computers.

Designed by exhibition specialists Hodges Associates, the stand featured a number of pods and screens showing the construction of commercial buildings.

‘About half a dozen Japanese children were running around, getting into the area and trying to download viruses on to our machines,’ explains Hodges Associates director Jon Hodges. ‘There was a bit of a chase going on from one pod to another – it was quite farcical.’

If it was a sign of things to come, we should all be worried.
