World Service by Satmoko Ball

Interior design and architecture group Satmoko Ball has been appointed to handle the £250 000 redesign of a new restaurant and bar concept in Nottingham.

The restaurant, called World Service, is due to open in Nottingham’s historic quarters at the end of July, and is said to be the first restaurant of its kind for the UK.

Essentially, the restaurant/ bar will be both a public venue and a private members club, combining a Georgian look with a contemporary feel. Satmoko Ball has been charged with the interior design, for which it is shipping over unusual artefacts and antiques to give the impression that it has been decorated by an old colonial explorer.

Satmoko Ball has previously worked on interiors projects at London’s China White and in Bali.
