Sheffield’s National Centre for Popular Music has appointed London’s The Visual Connection as project co-ordinator. The appointment is for a three-month contract and the consultancy will be paid 50 000 for working on the initial phase.

The Visual Connection beat off competition from Attractability, Conceptor, Met Studio and Silver Knight – which included Neal Potter as part of its pitch team – at interview stage.

Fifteen groups submitted proposals in a controversial pitch which began with 26.
