Rodney Fitch recruits two CPB directors

Coley Porter Bell’s departing creative director Paul Parkin has been appointed by Rodney Fitch as head of graphics. And CPB’s client services director Kate Irving is also leaving the consultancy to take up the role of business development manager at Rodney Fitch.

Parkin is a replacement for Rodney Fitch’s previous head of graphics Mike Curtis, who left the consultancy in January.

The consultancy’s founder Rodney Fitch says Irving will start in July, while Parkin is expected to join in August.

“Both Kate and Paul have terrific track records and their particular experience in the area of brand development will strengthen our expertise in this area considerably,” comments Rodney Fitch.

Irving, who is believed to have handed in her notice to CPB last Friday, declines to discuss the move. Parkin was unavailable to comment.

Irving will not be directly replaced at CPB, says Amanda Connelly, the consultancy’s managing director. Richard Murray, who is also a client services director at CPB, is set to take over Irving’s responsibilities.
