CONFERENCES

The Design Council’s Design In Education Week starts on 17 March. Its aim is to promote excellence in design and forge links between education and business. Key events include Future Gazers conferences in London and Glasgow, a Science Museum basement lecture by designers Ben Kelly and Dinah Casson and lectures by the Chartered Society of Designers. On 19 March De Montfort University holds a conference entitled The Changing Government Workplace which will study the impact of design and management on public sector offices. Topics include an examination of the “work village” of the Ministry of Defence at Abbey Wood. Jeremy Myerson chairs.
