The fourth biggest cement manufacturer in the world, The Italcementi Group, has a new corporate identity to promote itself in an industry formerly dominated by family-owned businesses. Design is by Wolff Olins.
The company was formed through the acquisition of French company Cimentis FranÃ§ais by Italcementi in Italy in 1992.
Wolff Olins, which started work on the job 18 months ago, redesigned more than 20 local company names as well as the parent company’s identity.
The consultancy won the work in a paid creative pitch against Landor, according to a Wolff Olins spokeswoman.
