Veggie diner to talk Newenglish

Leicester-based group Newenglish has redesigned the graphics and interiors for vegetarian restaurant Mirch Masala, as part of plans for a wider roll-out of the restaurant concept across the Midlands.

The consultancy was originally appointed to redesign the restaurant’s menus, after recommendation by a different client, but convinced Mirch Masala owner Pradeep Popat to revamp the identity and interiors at the Leicester restaurant, says Newenglish creative director Carl Bebbington.

Popat has plans for a second Leicester restaurant as well as a venue in Nottingham.

The marque has been modernised and reflects the nature of the cuisine, with a chilli-inspired logo representing the common ingredient in most of the dishes, says Bebbington. It will be applied to signage and marketing material.
