Design Technology teacher Pan Panayiotou completed his fourth London marathon last month. Finishing the 26-mile course in four hours and seven minutes, Panayiotou, who raised 500 for the Teachers Benevolent Fund says conditions were ‘very hot and humid’. ‘I experienced “the wall” at 18 or 19 miles and it was really hard from then on in,’ he says. Panayiotou refuses to speculate about competing next year. ‘Ask me when I’ve forgotten what the pain feels like,’ he laughs.
