Design Research Unit is opening an office in the United Arab Emirates as a platform for further work in the region. A sponsor for the move is about to be confirmed, says DRU director Chris Ellingham. DRU has just refurbished its second branch of the Al Ghurair Exchange Bank in Dubai. It will soon start on remaining branches.’The bank is looking to expand into Abu Dhabi and other parts of the Arab Emirates,’ says Ellingham.
