Rick Mather Architects has been appointed as the lead consultant for the South Bank Centre development project in London. ‘What impressed us most was his [Rick Mather’s] superb intellect, his practical approach and his will to tackle the project…’ says South Bank Centre chairman Elliot Bernerd. The masterplanner will produce options for the Lottery- funded redesigns of the Hayward Gallery, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room and the proposed British Film Institute headquarters.
