Cathy Gallagher is joining arts marketing company The Cogency as co-director.
She will work with Michael Smith, managing director of Cog Design, which set up The Cogency to provide clients with a package of marketing and design.
Previously with music producer Serious, Gallagher will be joined at The Cogency by Cog special projects officer Janice White.
The Cogency’s clients include the Barbican Centre and the Royal Festival Hall.
Smith is quick to emphasise that the two companies are separate: “We wanted to make the link with the names, but through The Cogency’s new identity we have made a deliberate cut-off. The Cogency will not be exclusively tied to Cog Design and will work with other design agencies.”
With a rapidly increasing workload, Smith forecasts several more staff joining The Cogency over the coming months.
