Glasgow design group 999 has redesigned the identity for the Edinburgh International Film Festival. The group has introduced a black, red and white colour palette to represent film stills and it has redrawn the festival’s ‘star’ logo with seven softer points to move its image away from associations with Hollywood.
The design is the “rebellious” cousin of Fortnum’s handmade English chocolate line and even saw the consultancy work on the shape of the chocolate.
The previous branding for The B Team — which aims to make businesses more sustainable — was “dry” and “authoritative”.
Developed and launched by Heimat Berlin, the typeset uses original graffiti scrawled on the Wall during its 28-year history.
The publication – based in Washington, D.C.,US – has unveiled updates across its print and iOS offerings.
