Transport Museum back in gear

Hayley Sharpe Design has completed its revamp of the Coventry Transport Museum, after a £7.5m redesign at the attraction.

The museum claims to house the largest collection of British road transport in the world, with more than 500 vehicles, including cars, motorcycles and pushbikes.

Hayley Sharpe has created three galleries over a total area of 1800m2. Beyond the Introductory Gallery is the multimedia environment of the 1980s and 1990s Gallery, which explores the globalisation of car companies and environmental issues.

The design consultancy also completed the Futures Gallery, which aims ‘not only to make a picture of the future but also to make interactivity a major feature,’ according to Haley Sharpe designer Jonathan Keight.
