There was only one flaw to the gunpowder plot hatched by law firm Biddle & Co last week to mark its rebranding by The Partners.

Shortening its name to Biddle on 5 November, the company informed key clients by sending them information packs and customised fireworks. The cost-effectiveness of the scheme was hampered by the fact that every package had to be sent by courier. “You can’t send explosives by post,” reveals one of the plotters.
