London nightclub Hanover Grand is getting a complete facelift from Nowicka Stern. The 800m2 space includes a stage, five bars, dance areas, balcony and a VIP area.
The consultancy was shortlisted after a six-way credentials pitch, and was appointed after a paid creative pitch against Softroom.
Nowicka Stern is treating the club as “a series of seduction journeys, to lead the customer through a ‘sexual foreplay’ of shapes, materials and semi-transparent walls”, says group director Oded Stern-Meiraz.
The consultancy wants to create “a tantalising journey of projected shadows, spy and peep holes, voyeurism, surprises… which will lead you to your ultimate destination – the dance floor”, he adds. The Grand will reopen in January 1998.
Members club Jaks near London’s Sloane Square is to reopen later this month after being refurbished by Nowicka Stern.
