The Victoria & Albert Museum is previewing its £30m Medieval and Renaissance Galleries today, ahead of their launch in a year’s time. The ten galleries, which occupy an entire wing of the museum, are being designed by Muma. The architect is working with lighting group DHA Design on a new daylight-lit gallery that uses 9m-long glass beams to connect the facades. A gallery of religious artworks will feature light filtering through translucent onyx window screens.
