Dutch Architects win two architecture awards

Dutch architects have won two awards in the 2005 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture, announced this week. The Netherlands Embassy in Berlin, designed by Rem Koolhaas’s Office for Metropolitan Architecture, won the Mies van der Rohe award. The Emerging Architect Special Mention goes to NL Architects for its Basket Bar at the University of Utrecht, The Netherlands.
