D&AD launches new White Pencil Award

D&AD is introducing a White Pencil Award, which it says will ’award the power of creative communications to effect change for good’.

The new award will be given out for the first time in 2012 to mark the 50th anniversary of D&AD.

Entrants for the White Pencil will have to respond to a live brief, selected by D&AD. The partner for the first live brief will be Peace One Day, which has designated 21 September as annual Peace Day and is looking to formalise the day.

Entries to the inaugural White Pencil must have run or been in the public domain by 22 February 2012. Submissions will be accepted from this October.
