JVC is launching two digital camcorders. Created by the in-house team in Japan, they are designed for architectural surveys and provide traditional video-based editing facilities. The GR-DVX (pictured), has traditional video-editing facilities, while the GR-DVX2 is PC-compatible. Near-broadcast quality film and photographic images appear instantly on-screen, allowing photos to be tried out before being taken. Both models will appear on-shelf this month.

DIA has designed new literature and display systems for building society Cheltenham & Gloucester. The consultancy has created leaflets supplying information on mortgages and financial services, and is in the throes of designing 60 more pieces for the institution’s other services. Using ‘world imagery’, DIA was briefed to carry the financial institution’s brand values – identified in a 1m advertising campaign by Saatchi & Saatchi – through to the literature. Featuring the new C&G acronym, the leaflets will appear in the building society’s headquarters in Cheltenham before being rolled out across the country in mid-August. ‘The personal finance sector has become more retail-minded than ever, and with newcomers with a strong brand awareness like Virgin entering the field, traditional players must respond accordingly,’ says a DIA spokesman.
