Black Sun delivers BA World Cargo site

London consultancy Black Sun has redesigned British Airways’ World Cargo website to improve its business-to-business customer service in the “cut throat” freight market and become “easier to do business with”.

BAWC required an improved Internet offering to achieve its goal of becoming “easier to do business with”. The new portal www.baworldcargo.com now features flight schedule information and a directory of all the company’s 160 worldwide locations.

“A key consideration in the re-design was accommodating the various browser technologies relevant to the target audience,” says a Black Sun spokesman.

“Competition in this industry is intense and the website is the ideal place to build stronger customer relationships,” he adds.

Black Sun has introduced several new business tools to the site, with the aim of helping customers do their jobs more effectively. These include Track & Trace, a service which enables customers to monitor their cargo in transit 24 hours a day.
