Industry split on co-design, says DW poll

Nearly 40 per cent of respondents to a Design Week poll say they do not think co-design is a good idea.

The survey, on www. designweek.co.uk, shows that 39.1 per cent of readers do not think that co-design is a good idea, while 60.8 per cent believe that it is.

A new paper from the National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts – The Challenge of Co-production – promotes equality between end-users and professionals in delivering services.

However, the report said of the discipline, ‘Co-design and other forms of asking the advice of users may be helping to create space for co-production, but can lack any continuing involvement in delivery.’
