Attik in the mix for Trust the DJ identity

Attik has created the identity and website for Trust the DJ, an on-line talent agency, showcase and record label for DJs, which goes live on 9 July.

The project is worth a six-figure sum, according to an Attik spokeswoman.

The site, www.trustthedj.com, has been set up by former Radio 1 controller and BBC director of marketing Matthew Bannister. It will provide individual homepages for the DJs signed up to the venture, including Boy George and Carl Cox.

It will also enable visitors to buy exclusive dance music compilation albums mixed for the Trust the DJ marque, which aim to rival albums produced by the Ministry of Sound label.

“The Trust the DJ icon has been designed to work on-line as well as across spin-off merchandise,” adds the Attik.

The website is targeted at dance music initiates and will be updated three times a day by a dedicated editorial team.

Attik won a pitch for the work in March against undisclosed rivals.
