Customised scooters for London’s Serpentine Gallery summer party

Architect Daniel Libeskind and fashion designer Emanuel Ungaro have been commissioned to customise two Piaggio scooters for London’s Serpentine Gallery summer party, which will be held on 28 June in a pavilion designed by Libeskind.

Ungaro’s scooter is painted in the designer’s trademark pink, with a rose petal design to ’emphasise the femininity of his spring/ summer collection’, says a Gallery spokeswoman.

Libeskind’s bike features a white transfer of his Micromega drawing ‘The Burrow Laws’, undertaken in the 1970s when Libeskind was examining the theory of space.
