Design Museum exhibition

Peter Saville has designed the invitations and posters for the Design Museum’s forthcoming exhibition on sculptor and designer, Isamu Noguchi, which opens on 20 July.

The exhibition, a major retrospective of Noguchi’s life and works, has been designed by US theatre designer Robert Wilson. Design Museum director Alice Rawsthorn says Saville’s graphic work is inspired by Noguchi.

<p According to official information on the exhibition, Noguchi’s work is ‘highly abstract’ and his sculptural designs were intended to express ‘the essence of natural landscape’.
