London Transport’s new range of posters feature photography by The Douglas Brothers and art direction by advertising agency BST.BDDP. ‘The previous blunt approach was unfair on regular fee-paying customers. This is more subtle,’ says BST.BDDP’s Tom Hudson, adding that this is a bid to recover the ‘vast amounts of money’ lost through fare evasion. Poor old LT keeps getting taken for a ride.

By the year 2020 one in every four Europeans will be 60 years old or over. So we’d better stop being so disgustingly ageist. Tony Stone Images has created a TV commercial designed to change perceptions about older people, called 1:4. ‘Older people are a part of society,’ Tony Stone’s perceptive Stephen Mayes tells us, just in case we’d forgotten. He adds that they should be understood and respected – and quite right too. 1:4 is soon to be shown on Channel 4, and includes 150 still images of faces.
