Enterprise IG has designed a new corporate identity for The Royal Institution of Great Britain. The new marque was launched on Monday.
Celebrating its bicentenary this year, the RIGB is the longest established research body in the world.
The new identity is intended to give the historical institution a “modern, forward-looking image”. The RIGB is currently making efforts to make the public aware of its legacy of scientific research, education and communication of science.
Enterprise IG managing creative director Franco Bonadio says: “Our aim was to provide a link with the RIGB’s heritage and communicate the discovery ethos of the institution, which is as strong now as it has been for the past 200 years.”
“The symbol is based on chemical elements in the periodic table and refers to the discovery of ten chemical elements at the RIGB,” adds Enterprise IG lead designer Lee Smith.
