The Fourth Room branches out

The Fourth Room has signed up a number of service agencies to its business development network, launched two weeks ago, (DW 1 October).

Signatories include design group The Partners and ad agency BMP.DDP Needham, plus Goldman Sachs, and 3i. Ideo, which owns 25 per cent of The Fourth Room, is also on the books.

“We will be announcing the next tranche of ten members very soon,” says The Fourth Room chief executive Piers Schmidt. However, he cautions consultancy-type groups that overt business prospecting is not the purpose of the network.

In the short term, Schmidt aims to enlist 100 businesses, which for £10 000 a year, can network through workshops and seminars, breakfasts and dinners, and access The Fourth Room’s London offices and facilities.
