The Partners creates a new look for Models 1

Model agency Models 1 is launching a new identity by The Partners, following a management buyout at the agency at the start of the year.

Models 1, which handles Jerry Hall and Yasmin Le Bon, appointed The Partners in May following a credentials presentation from four consultancies.

The agency intends to launch a number of brand extensions for haircare, cosmetics and clothing in the future. Any further design work would be done through The Partners, says Models 1 managing director John Horner.

“The first thing we did [after the buyout] was research our brand in the market place and within the company. We found that our reputation was ahead of our identity,” explains Horner.

“Models 1 is a very established brand, so part of the brief to The Partners was to make the identity slightly more frisky but retain the core values of the brand.”

Horner continues to say that the new identity is intended to appeal to young teenage shoppers in particular.

During November the new identity will be rolled out across stationery ranges and T-shirts worn by talent scouts working for the agency.

Following this, the new marque will appear on portfolios and a new models book for the agency, which will appear early next year.
