A new animation festival launches this month, backed and hosted by Light House Media Centre and Wolverhampton Art Gallery. From 22-23 October, Flip brings together leading animation groups from the West Midlands to provide talks and sessions on working in the sector and to showcase their work (pictured, Slaughterhouse by The CharacterShop). The event culminates in a screening of the Best of the British Animation Awards on 23 October.
The collaborative concept album was creatively directed by Pentagram’s Abbott Miller, with illustrations from Ori Toor and animations by 1983 studio.
