Red Bee Media creates identity for gaming channel Ginx

Red Bee Media is working on the identity and on-screen presentation for the UK launch of gaming channel Ginx TV.

The channel, which already broadcasts in Indonesia and Turkey and produces shows for third-party broadcasters in the UK, is due to launch in this country at the end of the year or the first quarter of 2011.

The consultancy was appointed in September following a five-way creative-led pitch. Ginx TV chose Red Bee Media on the strength of its strategic proposals, says Ginx TV chief executive Michiel Bakker.

The consultancy was briefed to create an identity that could evolve during the day to encompass the range of different parties who enjoy gaming, says Bakker.

The new identity will be ’distinctive and appropriate’ and will reference the ’very visual language’ of video gaming culture, says Red Bee Media director of creative Andy Bryant.

Red Bee Media will be responsible for all aspects of the channel’s on-screen presentation, including the logo (pictured).
