Where are they now?

In Tim Rich’s Private View (DW 1 September), he asks: “Where are all the older designers?” We’re right under his nose. We just don’t look 40. We may work longer hours than average, which can be detrimental to our health. But design is seen as a “young” profession, which keeps us young.

We can compete on even terms with younger people as we have experience. Add a genuine young outlook and interest in new trends, and you have a winner.
