Wickens Tutt Southgate has designed the brand identity for new on-line lingerie retailer Splendour.com, which launched last week.
The combination of plum and silver colours in the branding creates a distinctive on-screen look and reflects the “classic, yet contemporary and sensuous nature of the proposed Splendour.com customer” on packaging, according to WTS design director Pip Dale. She adds that the “indulgence factor”, associated with lingerie shopping is captured through the use of an unassuming brown box, leaving only the recipient knowing what it contains.
“The brown box opens to reveal a metallic silver inlay while layers of fine coloured tissue, subtly embossed with the Splendour.com name, surround the lingerie. The textures and layers of packaging materials maintain the elements of sensuality and revelation,” adds Dale.
