A celebration of the life of Galileo by the London Festival Orchestra incorporates an identity by Design Research Unit.
The DRU identity is intended to combine the rhythmic progression of the musical stave with the elliptical movements of the solar system. The orchestra’s project manager, Mark Robinson, describes the design as “stunning and eye-catching – it is exactly what we are looking for”.
The G logo will be used on stationery, invitations and promotional material.
After the launch of the Galileo Project at the London Planetarium, it is hoped to re-stage it in other parts of the country, and at the Millennium Dome, providing funding can be obtained.
