Let’s Belgo crazy

Those quaint monks were out in force at the opening of Belgo’s latest restaurant on London’s Ladbroke Grove the other week – designed by Foreign Office Architects. The chain is hungry for expansion and has plans to take its moules et frites combo global, putting Belgium firmly on the map at last.

While Notting Hill’s trustafarians may be flocking to Belgo Zuid, they are advised not to indulge in too much fruity beer. On the opening night a number of hip young things were trapped in the loos. Let’s blame poor locks and badly fitting doors, rather than a desire to escape the racing cyclist propped up on the bar, pedalling away and pouring with Flemish sweat all night.
