Roundel takes on universities

ROUNDEL Design Group has created a family of identities for the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside.

The project has a brand for the corporate body and two separate but linked identities for the Lincoln and Hull campuses.

The need for new identities has arisen because the Lincoln campus is a brand new site which opens its doors for the first time next month. The architecture for the waterfront campus is by RMJM in London.

John Bateson, Roundel design director for the project, says: “Research showed that the two campuses needed to express their own identity in order to appeal to their respective target audiences.”

Roundel is evolving guidelines for the application of the identities on to signage, literature and other materials.
